In Pulaski are our specialists for imaging, digital printing and release papers. In addition to sales and distribution for North America, the more than 100 employees take care of converting and packaging for the domestic market.

Responsibilities:

·         Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.

·         Develop, implement and maintain inspection policies and procedures, including a schedule of routine inspections.

·         Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.

·         Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.

·         Coordinates the safety and security programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment.

·         Develop, update and evaluates effectiveness of environmental, health and safety procedures for all areas of the facility.

·         Prepare, schedule and deliver training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.

·         Monitors compliance with safety procedures (i.e. NYS DEC, OSHA, ISO etc.)

·         Ensures that safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.

·         Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.

·         Submits recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.

·         Stops operations and activities that could harm staff or equipment.

·         Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.

·         Shares environmental safety information with appropriate levels in the organization.

·         Prepares and implements departmental budget.

·         Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.

·         Create and maintain any pertinent waste water, chemical safety, or other necessary environmental policies, procedures or practices in accordance with local laws.

·         Maintain any other necessary environmental records that are required.

Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

·         Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial safety position/environment

·         Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies

·         Knowledge of National and Local level regulatory requirements and emergency preparedness

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Proficient written and verbal communication skills, across multiple levels of an organization

·         Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

·         Adept in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

·         Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards

·         Ability to conduct and organize trainings

Education and Experience:

·         Associate’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or another related field is required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree desirable.

·         Five years of related experience preferred in similar position and employment setting

·         Advanced training, certifications and continued education are also preferred

Physical Requirements:

·         Capability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections; along with being able to carry any necessary equipment for specified testing.

·         Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·         Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

Salary/Hourly starting at 60,000
